The famous Sir Edmund Hillary

This week we have been learning about Sir Edmund Hillary. Today I am telling you guys why he is very famous.

1. He was the first one to climb Mount Everest.
2. He was knighted by the Queen which made his name from Edmund Hillary to SIR Edmund Hillary.
3. He is on the five dollar note.
4. He donated money for schools and hospitals in Nepal because they didn't have one until Sir Edmund Hillary came along and showed great leadership.

Here is some more writing I have been doing for the past week.

Sir Edmund Hillary is a New Zealander that was the first to climb Mount Everest and from that he has
received money by climbing Mount Everest and he donated some of that money to make schools and
hospitals in Nepal. He even drove a tractor over the south pole.

That was good leadership.
